11 Tips for Glowing Skin Naturally

“I don’t want flawless skin” – said no one ever. Let’s get real we all want glowing skin! Even after using those expensive cosmetic which come in shiny packaging and taking all the advice from your BFF beautician, do you still end up with dull skin? I get it, it’s hard to cope up with a legit skin routine. Especially, if you are working. So what one must do?

Here are 11 tips for you to incorporate in your daily routine and see the difference for yourself.

Hydrate

First things first, HYDRATE! For some reason drinking water seems to be the most difficult task. Drink ample amounts of water, at least eight glasses if not more. Water helps to eliminate the toxins from your body. A well hydrated skin makes the complexion look not only healthy, but also reduces signs of ageing. If you find water to be boring, add a few lime wedges, mint leaves, cucumber or even fruits. Flavoured water increases the intake of water.

Cleanse

Make sure to clean your skin every morning and night. This will get rid of all the makeup, dust and any other impurities. Go for regular clean-ups and facials, which includes packs and massages. This improves the blood circulation. No matter how tired you are never sleep with your makeup on.

Eat Healthy 

Making a few dietary changes will make the most difference to your skin. Avoid eating junk, oily and consumption of alcohol. Include foods which are packed in antioxidants and fibre. Berries are a rich source of antioxidants and raw veggies are fibrous.  Quitting smoking will make an immense change in clearing the dullness.

Sunscreen 

Most of the skin damaged is caused with the exposure to the sun. sun exposure causes pigmentation and premature ageing. Morning sun is good, but avoid stepping out between 10am to 2pm. Use a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15.

Exercise

Exercising pumps up the blood circulation and gets in the good oxygen in your body. When you work out you also sweat, which releases toxins from your body. Together this helps to improve your skin.

Exfoliate 

When it comes to following a skin routine we miss out on exfoliation. Exfoliation helps to get rid of dead skin and deep clean impurities. Always use a gentle exfoliator and a use it just once a week. Do not scrub hard on your skin as this is rip of the natural oils from your skin.

Use a Toner

A toner helps to restore the skin’s pH levels. It will deep clean the impurities which your cleanser missed out on. The toner helps to reduce the size of the pores and makes the skin smooth and flawless.

Breathe

A simple way to get in more oxygen in your body is to breathe. Yes, we all breathe all the the time and still our skin is dull. This is because you need to follow certain breathing exercises like pranayam or anulom vilom.

Moisturize

Another step which we don’t follow and especially people with oily skin. Moisturizers are available for every skin type in the market. Pick a moisturizer that suits best to your skin type and apply it twice daily. 

De-Stress

Stress plays a major role in how you feel and that reflects on your skin. Avoid stressing yourself so much that you forget to take care of yourself. Start by meditating daily either morning or evening, this relaxes your mind. Pamper yourself with aromatherapy spas and massages.

Digital Detox

Turn off, shut down, log off: say hello to digital detox. This can be daunting but this is also a good way to avoid dark circles and saggy eye. Looking into the screen for long hours causes strain to your eyes and this leads to premature aging and that’s not what you want.
