Buh-Bye Flakes

The visibility of dandruff increases during winter.  Lack of moisture in the weather causes dry and itchy scalp. Combat the dryness by heating up your hair oil and mixing some lemon juice to it. Massage this on your scalp to get of dryness. Massaging your scalp also promotes blood circulation which prevents hair fall and relieves stress.

Frizzy Free

Winter causes a lot of static around. Especially, when u are wrapped in those warm woolen hoodies, scarves, beanies, and sweaters; they all gang up against your hair making it a mess. Avoid washing your hair with hot water, use lukewarm water. Use a vented brush with boar bristles and a leave-in conditioner.

Restore Shine and Bounce

Hair tends to lose its lustre and volume during winter. And let’s not blame the cozy weather, we just need to take extra care. Apply a simple hair mask every time you plan your hair wash. Detangle your hair with a wide-toothed wooden comb and apply raw honey to the length of your hair. Cover your hair with a shower cap for at least 30 mins. Wash it off with lukewarm water, honey helps to restore the lost moisture.

Olive to the Rescue

Your hair needs food just like you do. Heat up some olive oil and massage it on your scalp. This will penetrate deep in your follicles giving your hair nourishment. This will also add moisture, health, and nourishment to your hair.

Dry it off

Never ever tie wet hair this causes breakage, split-ends, and dandruff. The best way to dry off your hair is by gently squeezing excess moisture in the towel; using a blow dry at a cool setting. If you use a hot setting dryer keep it  6 inches away from your scalp and hair.

Let your hair soak in moisture as much as it can. Use hair oils, mask, and deep conditioning treatments. Do not miss on your conditioner after every hair washes you do. Use a hair serum or a leave-in post your hair wash this will lock in the moisture.

Happy winters!
