One of the best -selling artists of all time, singer Rihanna is indeed a pop-icon. She is a fashion chameleon reinventing her style and is known for her dramatic beauty transformations. She has experimented with every hair style imaginable and her makeup looks are risqué yet trend setting. She turns 28 today, and we look at the sex symbol’s most iconic looks:
Starting with a simple, sleek brunette look in 2005 when her first single was released, and at the end of the year she had bangs to frame her face. As for makeup it was more natural and subtle with rosy cheeks, pink lips and lavender eyes.
In 2007, her chic bob grabbed our eyeballs, which from a side parted one, went to asymmetrical to chin bob. The colour of her hair went darker too, from brown to black. And the red lips added the oomph!
A pixie cut it was in 2008 with plum lips to match the vixen look.
In 2010 she went in for a more edgy look with a two-tone hair colour and an undercut. Riri ended the year with red-head curls that matched with her sultry image.
In 2011 one of her most talked about looks was the side-braid in scarlet colour.
2012 was the year when her career really was at the peak, she went in for blonde waves. Later it went to jet black hair experimenting with a sleek side style, a pixie cut yet again and bangs.
In 2013, there was yet another transformation to honey blonde hair enhancing it with red lips.
It was again bangs in black in 2014 and her knotted hairstyle swept on top of her head was truly funky.
2015 back to the curly locks and a more brunette colour of hair which were mostly tied up in ponytails and up-do.
Back to sleek and black last year first with a centre-parted bob, then adding fringes to it and finally adding more inches to her mane.
At the Grammy Awards recently she showed her tattoos along with her dark red dyed tresses cascading on her shoulders, a more natural and carefree look strikingly similar to her 2013 mane.
Her lipstick colours have been a beauty hack’s delight from nude to baby pink to sultry red, to a bright orange, to deep purple and even a vivid blue and a metallic green.
